Greetings in Christ, We are doing something new this year at Westside. We would appreciate your prayers for us in this and, if you feel led to do so, your participation. On Easter Sunday of 2003, we moved into our new Worship Center and it is being used to glorify Christ and advance His Kingdom. The cost of this project was originally estimated at $450,000 but ended up costing more than twice that. Because of this, we now have a little over $1 million debt on the facilities, which we have been funding for the past several years with a "Challenge to Build" campaign. We recently began a new effort to take care of the mortgage payments on our facilities. It is called "Team 1000." Team 1000 is a part of our larger 20/20 Vision to reach our community and world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The primary goal for Team 1000 is to identify 1000 individuals and families to give a gift of $100. Each $100 gift represents one person toward the goal of 1000 people. Some may give more than $100; for example, if you give $500, you count as five people! A $1000 gift provides ten "people" and so on. Meeting this goal will provide the funds needed to meet our 2007 mortgage obligation. We would like to invite you to be a part of Team 1000. All gifts are tax-deductible.
